Rimants jest przekonany, że siła fizyczna i pieniądze są kluczem do sukcesu w zmieniającym się, pełnym rywalizacji społeczeństwie. A few years after Lithuania regained its independence, seventeen-year-old Rimants moves to the southern district of Šiauliai. Far more interested in rugby, new music bands, and black-market trading at local bazaars with his best friend Mindė than in his studies, Rimants believes that physical strength and money are the keys to success in a rapidly changing, competitive society. However, everything begins to shift when he meets Monika, a middle-class girl. Falling deeply in love with her, Rimants is introduced to a whole new world of literature, culture, and alternative possibilities.
The film won the Best Baltic Film Award at the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival in 2024, as well as 12 Lithuanian National Film Awards (Silver Cranes) in 2025, including Best Film and Best Director.
