18-letni Shlomi walczy ze swoim oddziałem w Gazie. Kiedy po nocy w zrujnowanym domu pada rozkaz wymarszu, po prostu nie podnosi się z podłogi i po chwili zamieszania zostaje sam. Czy można powiedzieć, że stchórzył? Zdezerterował? Sam chyba nie wie, jak to się stało, a teraz - kierowany kolejnym impulsem - przekrada się z powrotem do Tel Awiwu, gdzie życie kosmopolitycznej metropolii toczy się jak gdyby nigdy nic. Shlomi ma do załatwienia mnóstwo osobistych spraw. W ciągu kolejnych godzin, w gorączkowym pośpiechu i z narastającym poczuciem osaczenia, będzie spotykał się z członkami rodziny i za wszelką cenę próbował przekonać swoją dziewczynę, żeby nie wyjeżdżała z kraju. Wojna, od której uciekł, pozostaje obecna w tle w postaci alarmów przeciwlotniczych i coraz groźniej brzmiących wiadomości w radiu. Jednocześnie armia ogłasza, że 18-latek musiał wpaść w zasadzkę Hamasu, i cały Izrael trzyma kciuki za uratowanie bohaterskiego żołnierza.

Shlomi, an 18-year-old Israeli soldier, flees the Gaza battlefield and heads to his girlfriend in Tel Aviv only to discover that the IDF elite is convinced he was kidnapped in the fog of war.
18-year-old Shlomi is fighting with his unit in Gaza. When the commander shouts out orders to march after a night in a ruined house, Shlomi simply doesn't move and is left alone after a moment of confusion. Did he chicken out? Has he deserted? He himself doesn't seem to know how it happened, and now - driven by another impulse - he sneaks back to Tel Aviv, where life in the cosmopolitan metropolis goes on as if nothing ever happened. Shlomi has a lot of personal business to attend to. Over the next few hours, in a hectic rush he will meet the family members and try hard to convince his girlfriend not to leave the country. The war he has escaped from remains present in the background as anti-aircraft alarms and increasingly ominous news on the radio. At the same time, the army announces that the 18-year-old must have been ambushed by Hamas, and all of Israel keeps its fingers crossed for the heroic soldier's rescue.
