Anne i Nuri znają się tylko przelotnie. Znużeni ciągłymi alarmami przeciwlotniczymi postanawiają jednak wspólnie zaszyć się na kilka dni w domu jego rodziców, na pustkowiu gdzieś między Tel Awiwem i Jerozolimą. Okolica jest malownicza, choć sielankę psują palestyńscy robotnicy, którzy w pocie czoła budują po sąsiedzku kolejną willę. Naprzykrzają się też wojskowe śmigłowce, warkoczące w oddali, i lecące gdzieś rakiety. Mimo to panuje atmosfera odcięcia od świata, sprzyjająca zwierzeniom i chwilom szczerości. Anne jest filmowczynią z Niemiec, Nuri aktorem z ambicjami. Tematów do rozmów im nie zabraknie - sztuka, historia Niemiec i Izraela, nieudane związki. Choć nie planują romansu, stale utrzymuje się też między nimi erotyczne napięcie. Dwójka młodych ludzi ostrożnie testuje swoje granice, pluskając się w basenie pod osłoną Żelaznej Kopuły.

Barely knowing each other, Anne and Nuri spontaneously decide to make a trip to his parents’ house in the mountains. As the conflict between Israel and Hamas escalates, they spend two days at a pool under the Iron Dome.
Anne, a young woman visiting Israel from Germany and Nuri, a man that she had just met through a mutual friend, arrive in the mountains between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. Weary of the constant air raid alerts, they decide to hole up together for a few days in his parents' villa. The surroundings are picturesque, although the idyll is spoiled by Palestinian workers toiling at the construction site of another house next door. There are other annoyances too - military helicopters and rockets flying in the distance. Nevertheless, the atmosphere is one of seclusion, leading to moments of honesty and confidences. Anne is a filmmaker, Nuri an aspiring actor. They share thoughts on wide ranging topics - art and politics, German and Israeli history, and failed relationships. Although they do not think about an affair, the erotic tension is palpable. Cautiously probing each other's limits, they splash around in the pool, safe under the Iron Dome.
