Two teenage girls at a local modeling agency, dreaming of escaping their gloomy hometown, form a unique bond. The promise of a better life drives them to treat their bodies in increasingly extreme ways. "Through the story of young girls navigating a toxic terrain, I wanted to explore the concept of the human body – the body as a project, currency, an object of desire, a source of pain and magic," says Saulė Bliuvaitė.
The film won the Golden Leopard, the top prize at the 2024 Locarno Film Festival.
